When you say something like, “What a beautiful blue sky today,” and they respond with, “There’s a cloud over there, so it really isn’t blue, is it?” He’s an annoying teenager and I’m a nagging mom, so this push and pull we’ve been doing is pretty normal and I went through it with his older brother, too. One of the hooligans and I have been at odds of late. Things that at the time might not seem like a privilege but actually are. We hear a lot about this word these days and it’s an important conversation to have, but I am talking more about the privileges that come from day to day living.
